SPACES is officially seeking a new home after 35 years. On Nov. 4, the art organization that serves as a resource and a forum for artists who explore and experiment finalized the sale of the building it has owned and occupied since 1990.

The organization is seeking a more visible and vibrant setting that will also give them “the opportunity to positively impact the surrounding community,” SPACES Board President John Farina said. SPACES previously occupied the building at 2220 Superior Viaduct.

The proceeds from the sale will go towards securing of the financial future of SPACES as well as assist with relocation. SPACES will lease back its current gallery space on the 1st floor, and continue to present innovative programming there while its board and staff focus in on a new location and prepare to embark on a fundraising effort.
