If you’re wondering how bad the heroin epidemic is, the Fairview Park police have some evidence that’ll pretty much answer your question.

The department released a video to NewsNet5 showing what happened shortly before an overdose call at a local McDonald’s. A man and woman are seen snorting something. He leaves, becomes ill, and then the woman gives him Narcan—the antidote for heroin overdoses. (Thankfully she had the antidote.)

The pair, James Gaspar and Lauren Thompson, were later arrested for the incident.

  1. It’s not the solution to this problem, but arresting street level addicts is? Smdh. Get them in treatment instead of arresting them! Gd. Not that hard.
