– With the new Inner Belt project starting to kinda take shape, The PD’s Tom Breckenridge points out some of the massive traffic problems coming our way. Beginning this fall and running through 2016, eastbound commuters are essentially screwed. Breckenridge also wrote about RTA’s Red Line makeover taking place this year; that may be a good place to start planning your alternative.

– East Cleveland cut 10 officers and 10 dispatchers yesterday, so the community will finally, um, continue to keep its patently unsafe reputation.

– ESPN’s report on Anderson Varejao’s leg injury has him out for the next two months or so. The Cavs turned in a winning performance against the Atlanta Hawks last night, but this (seemingly recurring) news certainly ain’t something to be happy about. Here’s coach Byron Scott:

“This is a big-time blow. I’m just trying to keep him in the best of spirits because it’s been three straight years of getting some type of injury that’s just derailed him. This is the biggest because he has been playing so well.”
