Who do Ohioans have to thank for John Kasich’s ambitions to make a career out of politics? Richard Nixon, of course.

Via CNN:

Kasich’s December 1970 meeting in the Oval Office took place the same week as Nixon’s famous photo op with Elvis Presley. Kasich got more than a handshake: Told he’d have five minutes, he got 20. This meeting steered Kasich toward a career in government—which ended up being 18 years in Congress and now the governorship.

  1. I saw Richard Nixon on Midway Island in 1969. He had a peace talk with Theiu (SP) from VN. He came off of the plane on the 2.5 square mile island of Midway and greeted us sailors with his fucked up peace sign which meant he was going to keep fucking us and every one else in his path for the rest of his presidency. It seems the governor of Ohio has carried on this obligation of this misunderstood president. That the governor has presidential aspirations is not by mistake… All republican ass-holes have aspirations of controlling the fucking world..and we in America give these ass-holes what they want every day. Fuck Grover Norquist, our governor and the underwear fuck-head down in Columbus…and the censorship machine which owns my media. And the fuck-heads who thumbs down every fucking thing I say on this fucking site..

  2. It’s always nice to have a little bit of text to space out all the profanity in your comment. You know, just to avoid having it all run together.

On a topical note, Kasich looks like he’s 12 in this picture. I would love to photoshop one of those mickey mouse hats on his head and a balloon in his hand. Now that would be an awesome picture.
