Cleveland’s only Pride event (in year’s past there had been two separate Pride weeks leading to confusion), the free downtown parade/march festivities kick off Saturday.
The big parade route leaves at noon from the staging area at Front Ave. and West 9th St. and ends with a big celebration on Public Square. See the map below:
Following the parade expect performances from local DJs and Glee‘s own Alex Newell. Fan favorite Nina West of RuPaul’s Drag Race and WKYC Meteorologist Michael Estime are set to host the day’s festivities through 6 p.m.
But wait, there’s more. The official free Pride in the CLE kickoff party runs tonight in the Flats East Bank at 7 p.m. And then the official parade after party, which celebrates 50 years since Stonewall, starts at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Burnham at The Hilton Downtown. Find out more about that right here. Pride in the CLE is put on by Cleveland Pride, Inc. and the LGBT Cleveland Community Center.
