Home Alone

Cleveland theater
Singer-songwriter Jana Hunter recorded her new CD, There’s No Home, appropriately, at a friend’s house in Houston. The 15 cuts feature titles like “Palms,” “Babies,” and “Sleep.” Fittingly, the songs are just as spare -- mostly acoustic-based ditties about love and life. Hunter is part of Devendra Banhart’s freak-folk Gnomonsong Records crew, so expect plenty of patchouli-scented neo-hippies.
