In the late ’70s and early ’80s, critics hailed Buffalo-born singer-songwriter Willie Nile, a guy who promised to be the new Dylan. Those aspirations didn't entirely come to fruition, but Nile has continued to put out great records. His 2017 album, Positively Bob: Willie Nile Sings Bob Dylan, finds him covering Dylan tracks such as "The Times They Are A-Changin'" and "Blowin' in the Wind." Nile speeds up the tempo the tunes and puts his own roots rock spin on them. Expect to hear plenty of Dylan as well as Nile's original tunes at tonight's show as he comes to town tonight in support of last year's Children of Paradise, a terrific disc that features calls-to-arms such as "Don't" and "Seeds of a Revolution."
