Rare Kollwitz Drawing at Gray’s Auctioneers Premiere Sale of 2013

Gray’s January 30th Auction features a brilliant array of Fine Art, Furniture, Decorations and Rugs. Highlights include major works of modern art including a magnificent watercolor by Joan Miró (1893-1983), Man, Moon, and Tree and a large-scale original charcoal drawing by German Expressionist master Käthe Kollwitz (1867-1945) entitled Abschied (Farewell), which is a preliminary study for the etching Tod, Frau und Kind (Death Woman and Child), ca. 1910. Others notable fine works of art include pieces by Degas, Rodin, Dali, Chagall, Picasso, Boucher, Hans Erni and William Calder Marshall.
