Every Friday, Scene calendar editor Cris Glaser provides a random but reliable sampling of things to do this weekend. For more options, log onto entertainment.clevescene.com. And check back Monday for C-Notes' Picks of the Week. Friday: Dozens of trucks tear up the makeshift dirt floor this weekend for the annual Monster Jam rally at the Q . Watch drivers race, jump, and crash on an obstacle course before they meet fans in the pit afterward for autograph-signings and picture-takings. The action starts at 7:30 p.m. today and 2 and 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at 100 Gateway Plaza. Call 216-241-2121 to get tickets ranging from $5 to $20. Saturday: Shed your winter coat and break out your island shirts for convergence-continuum’s Luau & Tiki Party at the Liminis Theater. Like a summertime luau on Maui, revelers party Polynesian-style, with an apple-in-the-mouth pig roast, limbo contests, and prizes for the best Hawaiian outfit. A $12 ticket gets you in the door at 8 p.m. at 2438 Scranton Road. Call 216-687-0074 for the details. Sunday: The Jigsaw Saloon fires up three theater screens and 11 – count ‘em! – 11 plasma TVs for the 3:30 p.m. running of the 50th annual Daytona 500. Watch pole-sitter Jimmie Johnson lead the pack of 48 contenders, including reigning champ Kevin Harvick in his Chevy #29. During the race, the bar will plate up 20-cent chicken wings and 2-for-1 burgers, and tap 24-ounce Pabsts and Coors Lights for $2 apiece. A perfect Sunday party to get your NASCAR on. The club is at 5324 State Road in Parma. Call 216-351-3869.
