We can’t remember the last time alt-country icons Wilco came through town, so anticipation should be high for the band’s appearance at the Akron Civic Theatre on Sept. 4. Though singer-guitarist Jeff Tweedy and co. don’t have a new album out (they haven’t released a studio album since 2011’s The Whole Love), the guys are performing a couple of Ohio dates (they'll also play in Columbus) on the way to the Lockn’ Festival in Virginia. Tickets to the Akron show go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Friday at Ticketmaster locations. They start at $35.
