Yesterday, May 16, Angelo’s Pizzeria in Lakewood (13715 Madison Ave., 216-221-0440, angelosonline.com) donated 100 percent of its sales to Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight. That included dine-in, take-out and deliver sales. In addition, Angelo’s employees donated their personal hourly pay to help these individuals rebuild their lives.

From the looks of the things, it was a smashing success.

“We are still adding things up, but we are right around $35,000 in donations,” reports Bryan Mack, assistant manager.

“We want to thank the community and our staff for all their support.”

And we would like to thank you, Angelo’s, for being such a great neighbor.

  1. Angelo’s is usually a pretty hectic restaurant, but that place was a complete madhouse Thursday. Those employees were catching fire, they were working at such a frantic pace. Hats off to all those guys and gals.

  2. Everyone that participated in this was just awesome, it’s great they raised so much money for the fund!
