Author To Discuss Obama Presidency at Loganberry Books Thursday Evening

Brian Abrams, the author of a new oral history on Barack Obama, will be in Cleveland Thursday evening to discuss his book and the successes and failures of the Obama presidency. He’ll speak with Cleveland.com political reporter Seth Richardson at Loganberry Books from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Abrams, who lives in New York City, reported on social media that he has never been to Cleveland, but has seen Major League “like 186 times,” an estimate met, in our office, with one of those rounds of applause that takes too long to become a standing ovation. He is the author, previously, of oral histories on David Letterman, Gawker and Die Hard.

Not like we’re here to persuade you to attend — we may pop in ourselves — but today is the author’s birthday. Also, the event’s promoters have been tagging a ton of local politicians on social media, so attendance might mean you’ll brush elbows with a councilman or statehouse candidate, eh eh!

And if you can’t make it this evening, you can always try to brush elbows with Obama himself when he arrives in Cleveland a week from today to stump for gubernatorial candidate Richard Cordray.
