Stop Littering in the Metroparks, You Doofuses

Spring has sprung, as evidenced by the flowering shrubs, blooming trees, and accumulating garbage on the grounds of the Metroparks.

Parks system CEO Brian Zimmerman is here to remind you that there are some simple rules of decency to follow as you enjoy your family gatherings, picnics and beach fun. Chiefly, clean up after yourself.

Sure, with certain grand-weather days drawing big crowds trash cans can become overfilled, but that doesn't explain away scenes like the one above that he shared on Monday.

Pick up after yourselves. Take your garbage to another can if the one by you is already overflowing. Be a pal. Leave the park in nice condition for the next person to enjoy.

This has been an installment  in our semi-regular series on what doofuses should stop doing, including parking on Public Square, parking on sidewalks downtown, and throwing PPE on the ground.
