  1. We have such mis-use of our valuable space – why can’t someone develop the waterfront area? It’s essentially the same over 50 years!

  2. Columbus Ohio had the same parking issue and they built a hockey arena in the middle of all that parking. Now buildings occupy what was parking in the new entertainment district.

  3. Heh, and for what? Oh yeah, cars! If you’ve been downtown on a typical weekday those lots are pretty much filled. If not, then the property owner would develop them.

  4. Why do we always tear down buildings for parking lots??? Last time I checked this was an urban city, not a strip mall.

  5. It’s because the city planners we had throughout the ’70s and ’80s hated public transportation. That’s why the innerbelt was built, I-480 and I-490 were built and they almost tore up the SHaker Lakes Nature area to put in an additional spur.

  6. Pictures of Cleveland before and after Mike White and his crooks raped the community. Now, Mike’s friends are raping my community…. and this shows you what my neighborhood will look like when they are done. I live in a beautiful historic neighborhood of East Cleveland and can hear the demolitions as I type.
