Missile Toe

The holiday jam of the year will come at you compliments of Missile Toe, Akron's only dedicated Christmas band. Featuring members of C.D. Truth, the Professional Againsters, and Peeps, the Toe irreverently adapts yuletide classics into a new rock framework. One favorite sees the all-stars turn "Gloria" into "The Night Before Christmas," prefacing it with an adaptation of a classic Jim Morrison bit: "You cannot petition Santa Claus with letters!" Drummer Dale Houston is keeping mum on the set list, but teases, "I expect we'll do some cool new songs. This year we're trying for, 'What would the Clash have sounded like if they got everything they wanted for Christmas?'"
