The daughter of local pianist Neal Creque, R&B singer Nina Creque tragically passed away earlier this month. She was 43 years old and had been ill for quite some time. Creque performed locally with Gerald Levert's group, One of the Girls, and also performed on "Space Age Pimpin'," a track by rappers 8 Ball and MJG.

In the wake of her passing, a number of local venues will host special memorial services. Tributes take place at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 1, at the King & Queens Lounge in Maple Heights, at noon on Saturday, March 2, at the Bop Stop and at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, at A Touch of Italy in Shaker Heights.

A “homegoing celebration” takes place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens.
