This year marks the 50th anniversary of the prog rock act, YES. While the band has had various lineups over the decades, YES Featuring Anderson, Rabin, Wakeman will celebrate the anniversary with a tour dubbed Quintessential YES: The 50th Anniversary Tour.

The dates include a stop at the Whisky a Go Go in L.A.; YES headlined the small club back in 1971. In addition, the band will release a 50th anniversary album in August and a live CD/DVD that same month. The band is also recording new music. The forthcoming studio album wil represent the first new music in 28 years featuring Jon Anderson/Trevor Rabin/Rick Wakeman together.

The 50th anniversary tour comes to Hard Rock Live on Sept. 8. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday.
